Whitethorn Dance!!

Welcome to the Whitethorn Website!

Whitethorn Morris are a ladies north west morris side from Harrow. The side was formed in 1977 and dance in characteristic red, white and blue kits. The dances are predominantly from Lancashire and Cheshire and the north west of England, performed in the style of north west London in inimitable Whitethorn fashion.

Whitethorn has performed at many festivals countrywide, including Sidmouth, Wimborne, Whitby, Chippenham, and Sheringham Festivals, and at Europeade in Quimper, Brittany and Prague Folklore Days in the Czech Republic.

We always welcome new members, dancers or musicians. To book the team or if you are interested in joining us, get in touch!

WT40 is nearly here!

On Saturday 23rd September, Whitethorn and friends will take to the streets of Tring for a grand day of dance to celebrate our 40th birthday!

We're excited to welcome lots of the teams we've danced with over the last 40 years! We'll dance around town during the day, and at tea time will be celebrating in style with 40 types of cake!

In the evening, we're hosting a ceilidh for our attending teams, with The Geckoes and Alan Simpson. It's going to be a magical day and we can't wait.
